Still life

I like how I can walk to the refrigerator and pick out any old two pieces of fruit that no one will probably ever eat, ever, and turn them into something pretty. It’s magic! And then I put them back in the fridge again because, hey, they’re not dead yet.

Available on Daily Paintworks.

About Marie Marfia

Once upon a time I went to a belly dancing class and promptly fell in love with my instructor and her students. As a result, I'm on a mission to complete 100 portraits of belly dancers using soft pastels. I am hoping that by the end of this project I'll have gained some mastery of pastels and of myself. Feel free to stop by and share my journey as I learn about pastels, art and the life of a daily painter.
